Valentines Day Meal Guide:

Step 1: Con someone into going on a dinner date with you
Step 2: Talk them into coming over for a home cooked meal instead because restaurants are too busy on holidays and weekends
Step 3: Get them to fall in love with you because on your cooking skills 
Step 4: Repeat step 1-2 until step 3 is achieved 


Step 2 is very real, so I always try to cook at home instead of going out to save time and money.
Here is an example of a meal you can make to show off your cooking abilities:

Lemon Pepper Salmon, Oven Roasted Garlic Parmesan Asparagus and Mashed Potatoes



Incase the description didn't do it justice, here is a photo of my recent Valentines meal I made to get you on your way to making someone fall in love with you for your cooking.

Shopping List:

Salmon:
- Lemon Pepper seasoning
- Lemon
- Parsley

Mashed Potatoes:
- Potatoes
- Butter Milk
- Butter
- Cream Cheese
- Seasonings

Asparagus:
- Garlic
- Parmesan

(NOT) Optional:
- Wine

Salmon:
1. Marinate Salmon in olive oil and spices for about an hour.
2. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
3. Place salmon on baking dish and bake for about 35-45 minutes

Mashed Potatoes:
Full disclosure, I use the Pioneer Woman's potato recipe because she's amazing and her recipes are amazing (I LOVE YOU REE!!!!)
1. Clean and peal potatoes.
2. Place is pot on stove and bring to a boil.
3. Boil potatoes until soft (about 20-30 minutes).
4. Drain and add butter, buttermilk, cream cheese and seasonings.
5. Mash them up and enjoy.

Asparagus:
1. Coat in olive oil, minced garlic and seasonings
2. Place in oven on pan and bake at 425 degrees for 12-15 minutes
3. Pull out and sprinkle parmesan and place back in oven until melted
Finished product (wine (not) optional)
